- What version are you using? (OS, client, server, etc.)
- Upgrade from Threat Prevention version 7.5.0.267 to version 8.0.0.29, we are using OS Server 2016 and 2025
- For the scenario you’re describing, what settings/configuration do you currently have in place?
- When I upgraded to the latest version of Threat Prevention, it seems to have removed the previous information for EPE. I had to reinstall the EPE database for it to work. I was looking through the documentation, and didn’t see this mentioned. I was wondering if this has been brought up?
- What error messages or unexpected behavior are you seeing?
- What have you tried so far?
- Reinstalling the EPE database is what resolved this, however, I didn’t expect it to remove the previous deployment.

Hey Jay,
Thanks for the update. I know we made some EPE performance improvements with the 8.0 release and this may be expected but might’ve been missed in our documentation update. I’m checking in with the team and will get a definitive answer, as well as updated documentation if required.

This is expected, as the format of the database has changed. Will be sure to get the Upgrade document updated to reflect that. Sorry for the unexpected hiccup there Jay.
