Translating Text in the Community

It’s great to see so many regions of the world represented in the community. With many regions come many languages! I welcome you to engage in the community in whichever language you prefer! This guide is intended to highlight the translation tools available, so that we can all engage in a common language: community.

Set your preferred language

First, ensure that your profile is set to your preferred language. You can see your settings here.

:double_exclamation_mark: If you change your interface language, be sure to scroll down the page and hit Save!

Translating content

Option 1: Using the Translation Tool

If a post is in a language other than your profile’s interface language, a globe icon (:globe_with_meridians:) will appear under the post.

Option 2: Asking AI

In the event that the globe icon does not appear, you can ask the community’s AI to translate. To do so:

  1. Highlight the text that you want translated
  2. Right click on it and select :sparkles: Ask AI.
  3. Select :input_latin_letters: Translate to ….
