What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Add a new agent alert to notify when one or more hooks fail due to MS KB Updates.

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

We currently do not have a way to notify a user within the product of when one or more hooks fail possibly due to MS KB incompatibility. I feel that an alert added to the alerts tab within the NTP admin console and configured with SMTP could directly notify the customer of potential issues with event collection due to this incompatibly and suggests to the customer to perform an agent upgrade.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

The only option is for the customer to pay close attention to our announcements made on the Netwrix Community site.

This is a great idea @Scottie, adds a little more priority to team members to upgrade agent to resolve a potential gap in monitoring or blocking. Also in case team members are not receiving notifications from News subscription on the recent updates required from Windows Updates for the month.

Agree this is a good addition. I have created a story for the dev team for this. Not sure if we can fit it into the next release yet. If not we will at least do the ‘plumbing’ for it so it can be added as a patch rather that waiting for another full release.
