What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
Enable support for managing computer objects within Netwrix Directory Manager, including the ability to create, modify, delete, and move them across OUs.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Currently, Directory Manager provides robust management capabilities for user and group objects in Active Directory but lacks support for computer objects. This gap limits administrators who want to streamline AD object lifecycle management through a single interface. By adding support for creating, modifying, deleting, and moving computer objects between organizational units (OUs), Directory Manager can become a more complete AD management solution. This enhancement would reduce the need to use multiple tools or scripts and enable a consistent and policy-compliant process across all AD object types—especially helpful in organizations with complex OU structures or dynamic computer provisioning needs.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
We rely on native AD tools or custom PowerShell scripts to manage computer objects, which creates fragmentation in our workflows and adds operational overhead. These manual processes are prone to error and lack the centralized governance, automation, and delegation capabilities that Directory Manager offers for user and group management.
