Preventing Users from Removing Cloud Side Extension (CSE) in PolicyPak

Hi everyone,

I’ve been trying to configure a policy so that end users cannot remove the Cloud Side Extension (CSE) of PolicyPak, as well as the related CSE that gets installed with it.

When I tested this in on-prem, I was able to successfully achieve it by following the article in the Netwrix Help Center: Set and Manage the Uninstallation Password for Endpoint Policy Manager Client-Side Extension. However, when attempting the same in the cloud environment, I wasn’t able to make it work.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a way to prevent standard users from uninstalling the PolicyPak client on their machines in the cloud scenario?

The cloud client doesnt have the same password protection.

But maybe we could add it if this is what you’re after.

Hey Jeremy,
I noticed that the latest EPM update doesn’t include password protection for the Cloud CSE.
Would it be possible to add this feature in the next release? It would be really helpful.
