Netwrix Privilege Secure for Discovery — 2.22.x Is Now a Legacy Release Line
With the maturation of our current release line, we want to make our long-term support and development direction for Netwrix Privilege Secure for Discovery explicitly clear: the 2.22.x series is now designated as a legacy release line, and version 2.22.13 is its final release.
We have signaled this direction in previous releases and documentation, but this post makes it official. Netwrix Privilege Secure for Discovery remains under active development — investment, new features, and security work will be focused exclusively in the current release line going forward.
What This Means
The 25.12 → 26.03 → 26.06 → 26.09 cadence is our single active release line for Netwrix Privilege Secure for Discovery. All future development will be delivered here, including:
- Windows Server 2025 support
- Security-related updates
- Library and dependency upgrades
- Platform modernization
- macOS support
- And more
The 2.22.x line will receive no further feature work, security updates, or dependency upgrades.
Note: Netwrix no longer backports bug fixes or security updates to previous release lines. Customers requiring fixes or security updates must upgrade to the latest supported release.
Our Recommendation
Netwrix recommends upgrading from the 2.22.x release line to the latest release of Netwrix Privilege Secure for Discovery (26.06) to take advantage of new capabilities, including:
- Native Microsoft Entra ID integration
- Container-based deployment on standard Ubuntu systems
- Ongoing security updates
- Windows Server 2025 support
- Continued active development
