New marker for compliance report when manual check is required

What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Change report from showing rules where manual check is required as Pass to instead something like ‘Not Tested’.

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Omeda was finding the fact that the product reports certain rules as Pass as misleading if right underneath we show a note saying we actually weren’t able to automatically test the rule. If we have the ability to show a note for this use case underneath, then it would also make sense to make the status appear differently than Pass if we didn’t actually prove that we passed the rule yet.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

We just need to be able to tell an auditor or a consumer of the report to focus on the less obvious notes instead of just skimming past a specific rule where they see a more obvious green colored Pass showing. If there is a note underneath saying we couldn’t automatically test it, then they need to ensure they get it manually tested.

Hi Devon,

This is a really interesting point and one that we have been looking at. Going forward, we will be marking manual checks as with a warning to make it clear and they will not be included in the score.

The rule exclusion feature is the way to document rules, that you don’t want to or can’t run, with a reason why and how it’s mitigated. This feature is designed for those conversations with auditors you mention.

This will result in the rule being marked as “Ignored” with the reason alongside.
