I would like to request an update to the Intune deployment guide for macOS devices, as the current documentation appears to be outdated.
Product version: 2602.2.1.1
Current configuration
I am deploying the Newtrix Agent to macOS devices using Microsoft Intune, following the official deployment guide provided in the documentation.
Issue
The guide references an Extensions template that has since been deprecated in Microsoft Intune. Following the existing instructions allows the Newtrix Agent to be installed successfully, but it does not function correctly afterward. The device certificate remains N/A, indicating that the required permissions or configuration are not being applied correctly.
Expected behavior
The deployment guide should reflect the current Intune configuration methods and policies required for modern macOS deployments so that the agent installs and operates correctly.
What I’ve tried
- Followed the official Intune deployment guide step by step.
- Successfully deployed the Newtrix Agent through Intune.
- Verified that the agent is installed on the device.
- Verified that needed permissions are given on the device and certificate lives in KeyChain system tab.
- Confirmed that the Extensions template referenced in the guide is no longer available in Intune.
- Despite the successful installation, the certificate remains N/A, and the agent does not function as expected.
Could you please update the macOS Intune deployment documentation to reflect the current Intune configuration process? I believe this would help others avoid the same issue.
If someone have had same Issue and knows how to solve this, would be great to hear ideas as well.
