Run a report on who in a security group last accessed files associated with that security group
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Our users change roles and responsibilities somewhat frequently. We give everyone only the access they need but rarely does anyone go back through and unrequest access. We need a way to see when people in a security group (that gives access to a certain folder on the file server) last accessed that folder. So if 8 people are in the group but only 6 have accessed the associated folder in the last 3 months, we can see that in a report
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
Run a report where I can type the name of the security group, Netwrix Auditor would have to know who is in that group and what folders that group is attached to and pull the last access time for each of the users in the security group. Pretty sure Auditor already has all that information and I can manually run reports and filter excel down but that is very time consuming.
