Introduction
As announced in Upcoming: Minor Version 7.1 [UI / UX], Netwrix Identity Manager introduces a change of icon library: moving from Fluent UI to Font Awesome. This is documented as a breaking change 
in the official release notes. This tutorial explains what changes in practice and the steps to follow after the upgrade, for On-premise deployments.
Icon Migration: Fluent UI → Font Awesome
This is the most technically impactful change. All menu and entity-type icons now use Font Awesome instead of Fluent UI. Most icons are migrated automatically during the database upgrade — no action is required for these.
There are two ways to handle this migration, depending on how much control you want over the result.
Solution 1: Automatic migration, maintained through the configuration lifecycle
This is the simplest path, suited for most deployments.
Apply the upgrade to 7.1. The automatic icon migration happens at this point, during the database upgrade.
Export your configuration, then redeploy it. This surfaces any icons that were not migrated automatically.
Identify the non-migrated icons in the export (custom connectors and entity types are the most likely to be affected).
Find their replacement in the Font Awesome Regular Style Icons catalog, which matches the style used by NIM.
Update the icons by redeploying the corrected configuration.
This approach relies on the standard export/redeploy cycle to catch and fix gaps, without needing to know the full mapping in advance.
Solution 2: Reference mapping table

Recommendation
Whichever approach you choose, perform this check in a preproduction environment before going to production, to validate the visual rendering without impacting end users. This is especially important if you rely on custom connectors or entity types, as these are the most likely to require manual icon replacement.
