Within the reporting of the NDC, I have figured out to include various metadata fields into my reports, however I am wondering if there is a way to change how a particular field imports a value. For instance, I have the file size field populating the size of the files that are reporting in the reports, however I would like to have it give the value in megabytes as opposed to just bytes. Is there any way to modify that within SQL or create a custom report? Or is it just possible that I am missing a metadata item that would report it that way? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated! Maybe a product enhancement in an upcoming release? ![]()
Hey Brian!
I’m Santiago and I’m a senior NDC support engineer here at Netwrix. I just wanted to take a moment to to answer your question.
Per our documentation and to the current extent of my knowledge on NDCs functionality, this is currently not possible as the reports are hardcoded and can’t be changed. The only values we really take into account are the clues within the taxonomies.
In your case, you probably used the FILESIZE metadata clue for classification such as the example below. This value only works with Bytes currently and can’t be changed to work with megabytes.
FILE SIZE = 10000
FILE SIZE *FILE SIZE > 10000
