Filtering options in Privilege Secure Dashboard tables

What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Need more filtering options in all Dashboard tables like users, resources etc.

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Please add more filtering options in all tables in the Dashboards so we can manage resources, users etc more efficiently. Currently the filtering options are very limited, it will be great if we can have filtering options in all the columns. Also, this should allow bulk modifications.
Few examples:
Filtering resources by operating systems where the last scan was not successful in N days.
Filtering users

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

Currently its very time consuming to scroll through the list or search through items one by one.

Hi Sony,

Thanks for suggesting this!

Sounds like you’ll need a proper query builder for each column on the various Dashboard tables, potentially similar to the query/filtering options Excel provides when filtering by specific columns.

This will probably be a larger lift, so for now this will be tracked in our backlog however we cannot comment on a specific timeline.

Hi Dan, thank you for reviewing and responding to my requests.

If possible, this would be my top priority. It would be very helpful if your team could deliver an MVP (minimum viable product) for this, even if it’s not a perfect solution right away. For example:

  • Add options to filter by last login and type in the user view.
  • Add options to filter by operating system and last scanned in the resources view.

These features would greatly assist with daily administration.

If neither is possible, could you check if we can add an export option in the dashboards so we can review the data manually? The export option would be useful in any case, and I can submit a separate request for it if needed.

We can certainly add some new filters to those pages. It should be noted you can already filter by “Type” on the Users page on the Dashboard.

New filters to be added:

  • Users Page
    • Last Login
      • Date range start/end (inclusive)
  • Resources Page
    • Operating System
    • Last Scanned
      • Date range start/end (inclusive)

Please let me know if these requirements sound good to you.

Yes that is good enough to begin with. What about the export option - should I submit another request for it?

Filtering by resource group in the resources view will be a very handy feature as well.

Yes please. I can’t comment on a timeline for an export option at this time, but it’s a good request and it will be good to track it.

We can definitely do that. I’m just thinking about how this will work visually, since Resource Group isn’t a column in the Resources table. I’m not sure it would be simple to add that column, as resources can be a member of multiple Resource Groups. Maybe the filter can exist even without adding the column?

Yes, that would be great. I would recommend adding a filter button above the table like this screenshot from the Citrix console. I was suggesting to add the column names since I assumed it might be the easiest way to get it done. in this way we can add multiple levels of filtering and narrow down the resources\users etc. to what we need.

We’ll investigate our options for adding more detailed filtering withing our existing UI patterns. Trying to keep the scope small so we can make the changes quickly. I’ll keep you posted.

Perfect, thanks for your time. it would be great if you could provide an update if you get any timeline on it.

A developer has started working on this request. I don’t have an estimated release date yet, however.
