What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
Improve the client upgrade UI to display detailed progress and status for individual computers within a group.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Problem:
When deploying client upgrades by Group, the management console only displays an overall summary (e.g., “21 out of 23 updated”) and group-level status (“In Progress”). Administrators cannot see which specific computers within a selected group have succeeded, failed, or are pending unless they manually search each device in the ‘Computers’ tab.
Proposed Solution:
- Add Expandable Group Rows: Allow administrators to expand group rows directly within the Group tab to view the list of member computers and their real-time upgrade status (e.g., Success, Failed, Pending).
- Filter Shortcut: Alternatively, provide a direct link on the group row that navigates to the ‘Computers’ tab with a pre-applied filter for that group.
This improvement will allow administrators to quickly identify and troubleshoot upgrade failures without tedious navigation.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
Currently, administrators must manually switch to the ‘Computers’ tab and search for individual machine names or export data to cross-reference which endpoints failed to upgrade. This process is time-consuming and inefficient during large-scale deployments.
