Custom Account Lockout alert not working

Heya,
I’m hoping to get some help with a custom alert. I copied the default Lock Out alert and tried to customize it for an account we need just a few people to know about, 24/7. For whatever reason, the default one fires (of course), but I can’t get the custom one to trigger. Can someone take a look at the settings to see what I’ve done wrong? Also, I tried adjusting the order of operations and I’ve tried adding the complete domain before the username, but neither worked.

Thanks in advance,
MK

Hi Michael,

If you are looking to be alerted when a specific account is locked out, the last filter you added would be incorrect.

if you adjust this from ‘Who’ to ‘What’ ‘Contains’ ‘FTPAdmin’ you should find the alert will trigger.

You can also test this by clicking on the ‘Preview’ button in the bottom right corner of the filters in the alert. If the event has happened in the past then it will show you the result. This way you know your filters are working.

Russell

Hi Russell,

I could have sworn/would have bet and lost that I tried “what” in the syntax in my testing. But that worked! And the preview lit up with all the previous artificial locks I created (by typing the wrong PW several times).

Worked a treat!

Thank you much,
