Hi Derek,
I was approached by a customer who downloaded the free Account Lockout Examiner. They have implemented a strict tiering model and their domain admins cannot access T1 or T2 devices. They have asked me for guidance on how to use the tool correctly. I downloaded the free version only to find there is absolutely no documentation included. So I started a search here and on the documentation page, but everything there talks about service accounts etc. something that is not mentioned anywhere in the free version. To make a long store short, I love that you offer free tools, but the lack of help/documentation - or the fact that it’s impossible to find - does not give a very good impression of your products. The old saying “you never get a second chance to make a first impression” is very true for such a scenario.

Hi Christoph,
I was able to find some additional documentation, but let me know if there’s a specific part of their implementation that you need clarification on. I’ll try to tag in the appropriate people to help.

Thanks a lot! I found those, too - but do those docs cover the free tool? The docs mention service accounts and licenses etc, that doesn’t seem to apply to the free version? I didn’t encounter any setup procedure. I’m just confused whether there are different versions of the tool.
