What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?
Restrict tenant users to only view their own custom reports
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Currently, all users that exist can see custom reports when the “Share with business users” box is checked, regardless of tenant. So, a custom report for client A is able to be viewed by client B. This may disclose sensitive information about a client that shouldn’t be able to be viewed by anyone outside of that org. Here is my proposed solution:
When creating a custom report in a tenant, only users of that tenant are able to see them by default
OR
A new checkbox with the option to “share with users of this tenant” (exact wording can be tweaked)
Along with this, reports created under the parent org would only show up for MSP users, not tenant users. Basically, siloed access to reports depending on where they were created.
Clients having the ability to run custom reports that an MSP user created is the main use case.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
The “Share with business-users” toggle on a custom report allows users to see it; however, it allows ALL users that exist to see it, not just that single tenant which is a problem.
