Agent Packages for Microsoft KB Update (October 14, 2025) Released

On October 14, 2025 Microsoft distributed KBs that conflict with existing Netwrix Threat Prevention agents. If these KBs are applied to your systems, they will conflict with current agents, as described in this announcement.

Netwrix has issued updated agent packages that have support for new Microsoft KBs.

Updated agent builds:

  • 7.5.0.242
  • 7.4.0.269
  • 7.3.9.325

If you are using Threat Prevention agents to provide AD event data to Netwrix Threat Manager, you may need to update your agents to maintain compatibility. No updates are required to the Threat Manager installation itself.

How to Upgrade Netwrix Threat Prevention Agents

There are two options to obtain the updated agents:

  1. Using the existing Netwrix Threat Prevention/StealthINTERCEPT Console and the “Update Agent Installer” button on the Agents panel. Then verify the version obtained matches the relevant version listed at the top of this Product Notification email

  1. Manually obtain the latest Agent build(s) from the portal and place in the current “..\SIEnterpriseManager\Setup\” folder

Once one of the above two options is completed, use the Netwrix Threat Prevention/StealthINTERCEPT Console to upgrade all agents.

NTP 7.3.9 is no longer supported as of 10/15/2025. The details around our support policy and product versions can be found here.

We did update the 7.3.9 agents for this Microsoft KB patch as development effort was underway prior to 7.3.9 going out of support. In the NTP console you should be able to download the latest agents. Since the Microsoft KB was prior to end of support, I am working internally to get this post updated to reflect the final 7.3.9 agent update that has occurred. You should see that shortly in the instance you’re unable to leverage the agent download option in the NTP console, if your server has no internet connectivity.

Please ensure you reach out to support and plan to upgrade to 7.4 with our team prior to the next Microsoft KB patches.

Thank you Kevin, Yep I saw that it had reached end of life after I had asked my question so I have submitted a ticket to get our system upgraded. I do appreciate that the 7.3.9 agents will be updated this month as well, that will give me a little extra time to get the system upgraded. Thanks again for your response. Jim S.

Thanks, Jim! The final 7.3.9 agent updates are now available in the portal as well. Since 7.3.9 reached end of support on Oct 15, future KB patches will continue with version 7.4 and later.
