Add support f0r EntraID (guest) users and groups to use as NPS user.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
Currently, only local or Active Directory users can be added to use the product for login and starting activities. This does not refer to the managed account part.
With the RAG portal / SRA portal configured, Entra app registration is used to connect to the NPS server. This means all (external) NPS users also need to be synced to Entra ID and require at least a P1 license (for conditional access) to access the portal. We have a few suppliers who log in maybe once or twice a year. Now they need a $6 monthly license in addition to the NPS license, which can significantly increase costs.
If you add direct Entra ID support (New EntraID User) and the ability to add users and groups, this problem is solved.
Instead of needing to create accounts in our local AD, we have the ability to invite external (guest) users and place them in EntraID groups and use these within NPS without the requirement of additional EntraID licenses or accounts. This saves us on costs and user account management.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
We use local AD accounts which are synced to EntraID and they require an additional P1 license. This requires lots of maintenance and additional cost.
