Add HWP file format support for Data Classification tagging.
Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.
As far as I understand, Data Classification currently supports tagging for DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, and PDF files.
However, HWP (Hangul Word Processor) is one of the most widely used document formats in the Korean market, similar to Microsoft Office file formats. In particular, HWP files are extensively used by Korean public institutions and are an essential document format in this environment.
As we are currently supporting Data Classification demos for customers in the Korean market, we have received multiple requests regarding HWP file tagging. Without HWP support, it is difficult to demonstrate the full value of the tagging functionality in the Korean market.
Therefore, we would like to request that HWP file format support be added to the Data Classification tagging feature. Supporting HWP files would significantly improve the usability of Data Classification in Korea and would help us better address the requirements of Korean customers, especially public institutions.
How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?
Currently, there is no practical way to apply Data Classification tagging to HWP files. As a workaround, customers would need to convert HWP files into a supported format such as DOCX or PDF before tagging them, which is inconvenient and not always practical, especially when dealing with a large number of documents.
Therefore, we would like HWP files to be supported natively by the Data Classification tagging feature.
