Add DuckDuckGo Browser to CAP Policy Exit Point

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Hi Team,

Our client is currently using the DuckDuckGo browser in their environment and requires the ability to control upload activity on this browser. However, we have observed that DuckDuckGo is not available in the CAP policy exit point under Applications → Web Browser.

I would like to raise a feature request to include the DuckDuckGo browser in this list. Adding support for DuckDuckGo would help meet client security requirements and provide flexibility for users who prefer privacy-focused browsing solutions.

Please consider including DuckDuckGo in a future update to the supported web browsers list.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

Currently, since the DuckDuckGo browser is not listed in the CAP policy exit point, we are unable to apply specific controls—such as upload restrictions—on that browser. As a temporary workaround, we are advising clients to use supported browsers where such controls are enforceable.

However, this is not an ideal solution, especially for clients who prioritize privacy and have already standardized DuckDuckGo in their environment. This limitation reduces our ability to meet their security and compliance requirements effectively.

Adding DuckDuckGo to the supported browser list would allow for consistent policy enforcement across the client’s preferred tools.
