NPS Search for resource name in home page

What is a one sentence summary of your feature request?

Search option by resource name

Please describe your idea in detail. What is your problem, why do you feel this idea is the best solution, etc.

Currently there is a search box in activity view that only search activity name, please make this is a global search that searches resources and activities. this way users can easily discover servers they need to connect to. I want to reorganize our resources and that will be very confusing for users users without this feature.

Cherry on top will be to enable users to start a session from that search result by selecting multiple servers from multiple activities.

How do you currently solve the challenges you have by not having this feature?

Users go under each category and search for the server name and over time they know where to go.

Hi Sony,

Thank you for the feedback. Several people have asked for a resources view. Here is a mock-up we are looking at for the Q3 release. Resources can be “pinned” so the user can keep commonly accessed resources at the top.

Thanks Billy, that’s looking good. It’s good to have the resource details there but I would recommend keeping the default view to an icon layout with the server name label.

I am assuming clicking on the sessions button will start a new session if not already connected.

Yes, you click the session button to start just like with the Access Policy and Activity views.

Thanks for the quick response. I understand why there is a separate connect button for each server, but I think many users might prefer the option to select multiple servers and connect to them at the same time. The drawback is that they would have to enter the same reason for connecting to all those servers. I’ll leave the decision to your team, and perhaps you could check with other customers for their preferences.
