When CAP inspects a file for it contents, it also inspects its metadata? In case, we have defined classification labels for all the files in the organization, can the DLP solution read the classification value stored in the file metadata and use it as an input for policy enforcement?
Say a customer is using a third-party data classification software, it can’t be integrated with Netwrix’s EPP. We mean to add the labels as keywords in CAP policies but if instead of part of the content, the labels are part of metadata?
To integrate with third party classification tools, define the classification labels under Denylists → Custom Content, then assign them to the Content Aware Protection policies and make sure Metadata Scanning is turned ON.
